In our series of diaper rash reviews, we are already done with Himalaya Total Care Baby Pants, Huggies Wonder Pants, Pampers Baby Dry Pants, Patanjali Shishu Care Diaper, and MamyPoko Pants Standard. Until your baby is three, you have to spend a lot on diapers. It is nothing, but a regular expense and costs you a lot. For this reason, as a parent, you will always want to have something perfect; comfortable, performance effective, skin-friendly, and most importantly, cost-effective. Keeping all these aforementioned points in mind, we recently purchased Pampers Premium Care Pants, and today we will be reviewing these diapers for you.
Things That I Liked In Pampers Premium Care Pants
As usual, let us start with the packing. The packing is very simple but elegant. Instead of making the packing extra bright and shiny, I really liked the way the company used light colors for the outer pack.
On the front and back, you will see branding of Pampers Premium Care Pants.
On top of packing, you will get premium care logo.
Next are the things for which Pampers Premium Care Pants are known. You can see, how nicely they are printed on the outer packing.
Information like diaper’s size, prescribed weight, number of diapers, air-channels, disposal tape, and most importantly, the cotton-like softness of diapers are the main highlights of the outer packing.
You will see polythene made handle-shape strip on the top.
Using this strip, you can carry this bag of 36 diapers very easily.
Let us now talk about the Pampers Premium Care Diaper’s texture. First thing first; diapers are really cotton-like soft.
I must say, the paper used for the diapers is very soft and must be of high quality.
I really liked the colorful shapes printed on both sides of this diaper. Be it the use of light colors or color-combination, both are laudable.
To differentiate the front side from the back, there is a proper use of labels. At the front side of the diaper, you will see a heart-shaped logo of Pampers Premium Care Pants.
Right below that you will see, “Front” as a label. This label denotes the front side of the diaper.
At the back side of the diaper, you will see the size of the diaper. As you can see in the image below.
As I have purchased XL size, so in my case, XL is written on the back side of the diaper.
3 Absorption Channels
Before this, we had reviewed Pampers Baby Dry Pants. We talked about these three absorption channels in that review, as well.
In Pampers Premium Care Pants, you will find exactly same 3 absorption channels. These channels are the only secret behind this diaper’s quick absorption.
To verify the effectiveness of these 3 absorption channels, I conducted a test with saline water. In our article, at a later stage, I will be sharing my findings in details.
Cotton And Magic Gel Are Not A Mix
In most of the diapers, the internal layer is a mix of cotton and magic gel. Where magic gel is used to absorb the wetness, the cotton layer keeps the wetness away from the skin. However, when both of these are in a mixed form, they are definitely going to cause discomfort to the baby because of wetness.
However, in the case of Pampers Premium Care Pants, magic gel and cotton are kept in separate layers.
In the diaper, on the top, you will see the cotton layer.
A separate layer is formed by gluing cotton on the paper.
When I checked it with scissors (I made a cut on this top layer), I discovered, the magic gel layer is beneath this cotton layer.
As you can see in the image above, on the one side, it is a paper layer with cotton glued on it and on the other side, 3 puffy absorption channels.
Fully Flexible Elastic Band With Perfect Fitting
The elastic band used in Pampers Premium Care Diapers’ waist area is very flexible.
You can stretch it to any desired size. This is the reason behind perfect fitting of these diapers.
I have no hesitations in mentioning, none of the diapers that I used in past offered me such a wonderful fit. I found a great deal of discrepancy between the sizes mentioned (on the pack) and the actual size of the diaper.
The Paper Protection Layer
Pampers Premium Care Pants comes with a paper protection layer around baby’s leg area. I found the same layer in Pampers Baby Dry Pants, as well. This layer offers a great amount of help, especially when the diaper gets heavy due to the wetness.
It has been often observed that once a diaper is wet, it not only becomes heavy but bents, as well. And, because of this, the baby had to experience tightness around his leg area. Sometimes, this tightness leaves elastic band’s scars on his inner-legs area.
However, in the case of Pampers Premium Care Pants, because of the paper protection layer, your baby won’t experience any such trouble.
Here, I would like to add one more thing. Most of the parents, instead of keeping that layer inside, they keep it outside.
You should not be doing this. Instead of keeping it outside, you should fold it inwards.
Should you keep this protection layer inwards, it will not only lock the wetness within the diaper but will save your kid from any discomfort caused because of tightness around his leg area due to a wet (heavy) diaper.
Comfortable And Airy
The design of Pampers Premium Care Pant is very airy and comfortable, as we stated in the beginning. This is because of the high-quality paper used for manufacturing.
This diaper is so airy and comfortable that the baby shows no sign of discomfort even after wearing it for hours. Additionally, it causes no harm to the baby’s skin, as well.
Diaper Is Available In Different Sizes
Pampers Premium Care Pants is available in different sizes and quantity combinations. The bigger you buy, the more you save.
We recommend you should buy it on the internet because it not only saves your times but a lot of money and efforts, as well.
Also, when you order online, you don’t have to waste your time because things are delivered at your doorstep.
If you are using a diaper, then to destroy it wisely becomes your moral duty. However, no offense, but so far I had used many branded diapers. I never saw a diaper that comes with a disposal tape.
Pampers Premium Care Pants come with a disposal tape and this is really impressive.
Once a diaper becomes untidy, you can use this disposal tape to tie it properly for disposal.
The wetness indicator of Pampers Premium Care Pants is another very interesting thing.
If you can see in the above picture, there is a yellow line on the diaper.
This yellow line works like a wetness indicator.
Once the diaper is wet, this yellow line turns into blue. This indicates that the diaper is wet and it is time to change the diaper.

Testing of Pampers Premium Care Pants
To check the absorption effectiveness of this diaper, I used saline water. Nowadays, we generally don’t get saline water because we all use RO filters.
Nonetheless, you can replicate saline water by adding baking soda and salt in a glass of water.
The moment I poured saline water on the inner surface of the diaper, I was amazed by the results.
In a few seconds, there was not even a single drop of water on the inner surface of the diaper. It was completely absorbed.
As soon the diaper absorbs the water, you will able to see the absorption channels; the white puffy three lines.

Things I Disliked in Pampers Premium Care Pants
You need to be very careful when unpacking. A little negligence is surely going to damage the diaper. When you see the packing for the first time, you will feel as if the company has packed 36 diapers in the packaging of 30 diapers forcibly.
In the given packing, you won’t be able to save diapers from dust and contamination unless you use 8 to 10 diapers. Otherwise, you have to use cellulose-based adhesive (cello tape) to protect it from dust or contamination.
The Weight Of The Diaper
Usually, diapers become heavy once they are wet.
To prove my claim, I weighed a single diaper; fresh and wet diaper.
You can see in the image above, a fresh diaper weighs around 29g.
However, within a few minutes, after pouring saline water for testing, the weight of the diaper changed drastically.
After 5 minutes, the weight was 170g. This is not a good thing.
Per Piece Price of The Diaper
Per piece price of the diaper is comparatively higher than the other options available in the market.
Generally, for other available options, you have to pay INR 15 to 20 for a single diaper. However, in the case of Pampers Premium Care Pants, you have to pay a lot more than that.
999 INR/36 (XL Size) Diapers = 27 INR Per Piece.
Now, just simple math. Even if you are using three diapers a day, it comes to 90 diapers in a month. Hence, 27×90 = 2430 INR.
For a middle-class family, it is a huge price. This is surely going to impact a family’s monthly budget.
After reviewing Pampers Premium Care Pants, we can say, quality wise these diapers are really premium. There are a lot of things that you can only have from this diaper. The diaper causes no harm to the skin. However, as we calculated above, these diapers are expensive.
The buying decision depends upon the economic well-being of a consumer. I believe these diapers are not for a middle-class family.
