We all know how fragile the skin of newborn babies is and the amount of attention it needs. The market is overstocked with innumerable baby cosmetic product options such as baby lotions, creams, and massage oils. However, one wrong choice can be troublesome for your baby’s delicate skin. Keeping this in mind and after spending hours on internet research, I recently purchased Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion for my child. Here is my review of this baby body lotion.

Packing

Like other Patanjali products, packing of Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion has been kept simple and to the point.

The product comes in a pink color plastic bottle and instead of making it an excessively colorful container, the manufacturers purposely kept their focus on providing (user) relevant information.

I really like the way branding is done on the top front side of the bottle.

Right below that you will see company’s claim about using 100% natural products.

Being a product from Patanjali, there remains no question of any dubiousness about the use of any dangerous chemical.

On the back side of the packing, you can see full information about the ingredients used in Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion.

I have noticed that Patanjali repeat most of the ingredients in its every cosmetic product. Just below this, you will see the direction of applying it. Though, I will be talking about those later in this article, as well.

Further, you will find information related to the expiration of this product.

Flip-open-cap

The bottle comes with a flip-open-cap.

By the way, you can also completely remove the cap.

However, in order to avoid any unpleasant incident of spillage, this flip-open-cap proves to be very beneficial.

I have seen many times that these flip-open-caps are not firmly affixed with the bottle cap. After a few regular uses, these flip-open-caps break off very easily.

But, it is not the case with Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion bottle.

To take out the product, you have to lift the flip-open-cap.

With a gentle squeeze, you can easily have the product on your hands.

Rich with natural elements

Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion is a blend of several natural elements and oils.

Such as almonds juice, almond oil, amla oil, wheat seed oil, turmeric extract, Ambala extract, and cucumber extract.

The mixture of all these natural elements is not only good for skin but also makes this body lotion the best choice.

Absorb very quickly

Earlier, I had used another very well-known body lotion and after using it, I realized that it caused dryness. Despite applying it in a heavy amount, I saw no difference and my baby’s skin was as hard as it was before applying the same body lotion.

Then, I used Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion. One of my friends recommended it to me. I was really amazed by its absorption ability.

This body lotion is white in color, In terms of texture, it is almost equivalent to any expensively imported body lotion. As you can see in the picture that I have only used a single drop of it.

And after spreading it on my hand, you can see how quickly it was absorbed by my skin.

The best thing is, after applying Patanjali Baby Body Lotion, you don’t even feel that you have applied anything. In the end, you won’t see any traces or particles.

We know that change in the color of any herbal product over time is a natural process. So, don’t panic, if you get a body lotion that is not of white color.

Even if you see a difference in its color, you won’t experience any change in its effectiveness. Similar information can be found on Patanjali’s pack, as well.

Skin-friendliness

I hope you know that baby’s skin is very sensitive and using a product that contains any inappropriate chemical as one of its ingredients can cause skin reactions.

This is the reason why I am very skeptical about buying any random baby lotion, cream, soap or oil. I prefer conducting a thorough research before buying anyone these and I did the same before buying Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion, as well. I have been using this body lotion since last few months and so far I have not seen any sign of reaction or discomfort.

The fragrance is very light

Babies show signs of discomfort when they encounter intense odors. This is one of the reasons why pediatricians always advice about not using any such strong smell cosmetic on or around babies; at least for the first six months.

Despite knowing this fact, many baby body lotions manufacturing companies, just to lure parents, use artificial fragrances. Although they know that these chemicals can cause irreparable damage to their skin, yet they barely refrain from using it.

Fortunately, Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion is completely free from any such artificial fragrance. Its fragrance has been kept very light and it barely bother infants.

Consumption

Even a small amount of Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion is enough. This is why its consumption is much less compared to any other expensive body lotion. Hence, it does not affect your monthly budget, and you don’t have to spend recklessly on this essential product.

Completely Ayurvedic

As I said earlier, almost every second baby lotion is made of harmful chemicals that can damage child’s skin.

But, in case of Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion, you don’t have to worry about any of these. No harmful chemicals have been used as it is a purely Ayurvedic product.

Over the past few years, there has been an increase in demand for Patanjali products because of its good quality, reasonable prices, and herbal properties.

Patanjali’s products are no more confined to Yoga Camps. You can buy it from nearest Patanjali’s store or online (Amazon or Flipkart).

Price

Like Patanjali’s other products, the cost of Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion is also very reasonable.

Should you try to buy a 100ml baby body lotion bottle of any other brand, you will have to pay something around 150 to 200 INR. Whereas, you can buy this 100% chemical free baby body lotion at a very reasonable price. In short, no much effect on your monthly budget.

Although the information about applying Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion is printed on the container, nevertheless, for your help, I would like to tell you the way I use it.

1. To apply this, have a few drops of body lotion either on your hands or directly on your baby’s skin.
2. Then, you are supposed to give a gentle massage.
3. Be sure, you must not use excessive pressure, as it can damage your baby’s skin.
4. Repeat this until you are done with his whole body.
5. Make sure, the body lotion is completely absorbed.
6. Keep in mind; this body lotion should not be used on the eyes or around the area because it can cause discomfort to the baby.

No see-through packing

It doesn’t come in a see-through or transparent packing. Therefore, it becomes very hard for you to judge the remaining quantity.

This makes it very difficult for you to know when is the right time to order a new one.

Not suitable for very dry skin

I must say, Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion is not going to deliver similar results, in case, your baby’s skin is very dry. I tried it on my sister’s daughter, and it disappointed me.

Does not work in winter

Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion is not as helpful in winters as in case of summers.

It is not easy to find any other body lotion that is full of natural elements and beneficial oils. As this body lotion is completely Ayurvedic, hence unlike chemical based body lotions, it causes no harm to the skin. Overall, my experience with Patanjali Shishu Care Body Lotion was fine.
