Apart from the two mentioned imperfections, I don't see any trouble using Patanjali Shishu Care Talc Powder. For me, a product's skin-friendliness is more important than worrying about wastage. I can always control that wastage by not opening the paper seal completely. However, I don't want to use any nicely packed baby powder that is made of hazardous chemicals. Before using this powder, I was using another very prestigious brand of baby powder. But, after using Patanjali Shishu Care Talc Powder for once, I realized that there are a few things in this powder that separates it from other available options.

Things that I liked in Patanjali Shishu Care Talc Powder

Packing

Like the packing of other Patanjali products, the packaging of Patanjali Shishu Care Talc Powder is also kept very simple but useful. In a white plastic bottle, you will get 100 grams of baby powder.

Talking about branding, I really appreciate the simplicity. On the front top of this bottle, you will see Patanjali and Shishu Care Logo.

Right below Shishu care logo, you will see an impression of a dermatologically tested safety stamp. Right next to that, you will find the company’s hologram.

Beneath that safety stamp impression, you will be able to see company’s claim using natural elements only.

To have the powder, you are supposed to remove the paper seal pasted on the top of the lid.

Right after peeling that (sticker) seal, you will be able to see a few small but closed holes.

Now, you have to rotate that lid into an anti-clock position.

By doing this, you will be able to sprinkle that powder, wherever you want to. On the back of the bottle, you will see a few more details about ingredients used, directions for applying it, its price and expiration details.

Before buying any product, you must look at its expiry date. Using an expired product means inviting health troubles.

Rich with natural elements

Like other Patanjali products, Patanjali Shishu Care Talk Powder is also completely free from the use of any harmful chemicals. Undoubtedly, the market is full of baby powder options. However, most of them are using dangerous chemicals. A slight use of those can cause severe damage to the child’s skin.

On the contrary, Patanjali Shishu Care Talk Powder is completely made of natural elements.

As claimed by the manufacturer, Patanjali Shishu Care Talk Powder is a great formulation of Yasad Bhasma, turmeric, wheat germ oil, olive oil, Mentha Piperata i.e. peppermint.

Applying chemicals made powders on rashes or red skin generally produce irritation or burning sensations. But, with Patanjali’s Shishu Care Talc Powder, you won’t face any such trouble.

Sometimes when I have to deal with skin redness, I also use this powder and my experience is completely positive.

Cost

The cost of Patanjali Shishu Care Talc Powder is also equal to other reputed brands. In such a case, why would you buy a chemical based powder, when you can have a herbal powder at the same price?

Things that I did not like in Patanjali Shishu Care Talc Powder

Its lid is loose

The lid used to keep the powder bottle closed is very loose i.e. even if the bottle gets squeezed by mistake, you can see powder all around.

This is how you get a lot of powder wasted for no reason.

One sprinkle and you get powder in abundance

Because all the holes made in the lid above the bottle are already open.

In such a case, if you completely remove the paper seal, then you expect talcum in abundance.

This not only leads to wastage, but if you miss covering the face of the baby before sprinkling it, then the powder get into baby’s mouth, eyes or nose. This is not a good thing, and your baby will be dealing with an unpleasant situation.

In the end, I would say that my experience with Patanjali Shishu Care Talc Powder was completely positive. After using it for once, I changed my old baby powder. Now, I use this powder for my baby.
