What goes in babies mind, stays in their mind. Even wisest of parents get a hard time to decode why their baby is always crying! Well, it is their way of communicating things. Poor babies! they don’t know any other way in which they can tell you exactly what’s bothering them or what they want.

Their crying is a signal to you that there’s some problem or sometimes…they just want you around! They can be this big time attention seekers you know. So, let’s find out the answer to mostly asked question – Why Is My Baby Crying So Much

1I am crying because I’m in pain

Babies can really be gassy or colic. Check if she’s having a hard tummy or whether she has burped after you have fed her. Try to soothe her by carrying her straight up to you right should until she has burped or just lay her down on her tummy. She will feel good in sometime and would take a nice comforting nap.

2I am wet…oh no! I might have pooped

This can happen all the time. Gosh! babies eat round the clock, don’t they? It is healthy if they are pooping or having wet diapers throughout the day. This means, they are digesting well. Even if you have just changed your baby’s nappy and she’s still crying and there are chances she has pooped again. Try to check that first because you don’t want to make your baby sit in that puddle for a longer time.

3I am having a fever

Yes, babies are prone to catch cold or fever quite easily. Check your baby’s temperature. May be it is time to consult a doctor. You don’t want to take any risk when it comes to your baby, your pediatrician will guide you in a right way.

4I feel so hot…and then I feel so cold

Your baby must be crying because you have tucked her in those 7 layers of clothes thinking she must be feeling cold. Chances are, she really needs some air which is why she is crying. Soon, after you have removed those extra layers, she is crying again! Well, chances are, she is cold now. You just have to learn in the beginning what makes her feel cozy and warm rather than making her feel too hot or too cold.

5I am really tired

Those little things…although after sleeping all day long, can get real tired. Sometimes, tired of doing nothing. During such times, it is recommended to give them their baby massage. They’ll fall asleep in a minute this way.

6Mommy! I am hungry

Is it quite a long time since you have fed her? Even 2 hours can be a long time for babies. Come on they are growing up and that too so fast! They need food and energy to do so. Try feeding her when she’s crying for the reason you have no idea of.

7I need my favourite toy with me

Is her teether or her favourite soft toy near her? If not try to soothe her by giving her favourite toys and observe…she might just want them and that is the reason she’s crying.

8Oh, I need a change

Like I said earlier, they can be a big-time attention seekers. Sometimes they cry because they just want you around to cuddle them. They look for their mommy’s warmth and comfort.

You see, decoding a baby’s mind is not that hard…we can always try to help and soothe our little ones by understanding their language.
