Brown spotting

The reason for brown discharge is irritation. It is due to the increase of hormones and increased blood flow throughout your body during pregnancy and this makes the cervix very sensitive, and having sex during the pregnancy or a pelvic exam can increase it. This could be the reason of brown discharge or light spotting.

Although this is normal but in few cases if it converts to grey, red or bleeding, or you get more cramps or back pain, it may have some complications and you should see a doctor.
